I found an interesting article on the LORE Magazine blog that might help you with trying to figure out where to spend your marketing dollars in this market where you may not be earning as much income as you did before the market turned South on everyone. The article helps you focus on the right questions to ask yourself when you are getting ready to spend your hard earned dollars on marketing. Enjoy! http://www.loremagazine.com/go/?blog_id=34 |

You posted great ideas, thanks for sending them. I do have an issue with your e-mail though, specifically the phase: "market turned South on everyone." My business is booming! I see the market as "different" not bad like so many people categorize it. there are huge opportunities to capture more market share with other agent cutting back on marketing. I am actually expanding my marketing (in specific ways) and customer service as the article suggests. My thoughts are split when I hear agents complain about the "Bad" market. On one hand I look at it as people jumping on the negative media band wagon propagating the negative message. On the other hand it means more business for me!Thanks again for all the hard work you do Karen! Bob Brackney, Owning Broker - 1 Source Real Estate |

Bob, You are so right! Thanks for pointing that out...I am hearing so many of our members are struggling right now and looking for survival solutions, it is refreshing to hear that you are doing well. I hope that others are beginning to see an uptick in their business as well. |

I finally bit the bullet and decreased my print advertising (still crossing my fingers that this doesn't kill me). In a small town, the print advertising is sitll expected by the sellers (even though I am not getting that many leads from it any more). I think this article from LORE was a great one. Thanks |
